Oonagh Delaney Gottlieb, M.A. in Education
Owner/Lead Teacher

Oonagh has been teaching for the past 21 years.  She has taught all age groups from pre-school to high-school.  Over the past 10 years she has devoted her teaching to the pre-school age child, her philosophy being that engaging a child at an early age, can lead to a life-long love of learning.

Oonagh received her B.A. from Manchester University in England in English and Drama Studies.  She then went on to do her M.A. also from Manchester University with a P.G.C.E. (Post Graduate Certificate in Education).  She has also earned her Basic Core Certification in Early Childhood Education.  She believes in child-led inquiry and that children learn from active engagement in their natural surroundings.  Her outgoing personality and obvious love for children in her care, make her a popular choice amongst parents and children alike.

Oonagh's husband, Jason, is also a teacher with over 21 years of experience.  A local Southern Californian he graduated from The Oakwood School in North Hollywood and received his B.A. from Pitzer College in Claremont, California.  He then earned his M.A. in Teaching from Seattle University.  He was recently promoted to Administrator/Curriculum Coordinator at The Walden School in Pasadena, CA after having taught a multi-age classroom of 4-5 graders for the past 8 years.

Together, they are raising three boys: Eamonn (11), Patrick (10) and Sammy (7).

Beth Jensen
Teacher

Beth has been on staff with The Little School since its start in 2006.  Her natural gift for teaching, her great sense of humor and her easy going manner makes her a favorite preschool teacher among countless
children and parents.  She has taught both Mommy and Me and preschool classes, making both parents and children feel loved and supported.  Her teaching philosophy is centered on the belief that "kids should be kids" -- they should have fun and get messy.  Beth is a firm believer that the majority of children's learning comes from natural, and some teacher-directed, play and activities.

Beth received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Fordham University (New York, NY).  In addition to her undergraduate degree, she has received her credentials in Early Childhood Education, and earned a Master's Degree in Media and Educational Technology with a  focus on Children's Television Programming from Fairfield University (Fairfield, CT).

She is the proud mother of Katie (9), and Michael (7). (5).
